Why are We Obsessed with Book Boxes?

Trash Tuesday (7).png

Book Friends, we have a problem. Book Boxes. They are taking over our lives.
And it’s because they are so cute. I drool over them until my brain kicks in and reminds me that I don’t need to spend another $50 on items made about fictional characters.

I can’t go on Instagram without being inundated with candles, book sleeves, stickers etc. And I want them all. It’s a real problem, for multiple reasons, but mostly for my wallet.

My Truth About ARCs

Trash Tuesday (6).png

For those who are new to the endless acronyms that come with the bookish world, ARC stands for Advanced Reader’s Copy. These are free copies of books sent out for pictures, reviews etc. by the Publisher to create hype around books in advance of publication. You can also get e-ARCs on sites like Netgalley or Edelweiss or even through an email from an author or agent etc.

While some people collect these, they are not for sale and are illegal to sell despite some listing them on websites like ebay. Don’t sell ARCs. Don’t buy ARCs. You can trade them with other readers, in fact, we support this.

July was a crazy month for us and we have no idea how we got so much reading done! Teagan drove all over Idaho and Utah, including some amazing hikes, and Jess went to LA and camped on the beach down in the gulf. The views for reading inspired us and while we can’t wait for August, July treated us pretty well.
