Top Ten Tuesday | Books I Meant to Read in 2020 But Didn’t Get to

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.

This is basically my shame list. It’s not going to be pretty. These are all of the books that I REALLY meant to read last year and didn’t. Embarrassingly, I own ALL of these. So they will be read eventually.

Mexican Gothic by Silvia Moreno-Garcia

I chose this as one of my Book of the Month selections and while I do want to read it. I need to be in the mood for horror, which doesn’t happen often.

House of Salt and Sorrows by Erin A. Craig

Another Book of the Month choice. I’m scared of the turtle scene. I don’t even know what happens, but I’m scared.

Aurora Burning

I’m not over the end of Aurora Rising yet.

Ninth House by Leigh Bardugo

For some reason, I’m just not super excited by the college setting, but I am pretty sure I will enjoy this anyway.

Blood & Honey by Shelby Mahurin

I actually started this and read about 30%, but I was distracted and now I need to reread the whole thing.

The Silvered Serpents by Roshani Chokshi

After the end of The Gilded Wolves, it’s basically a crime that I haven’t read this yet.

As the Shadow Rises by Katy Rose Pool

There is so much happening in the first book that I know I am going to have to do a reread. It’s the only way.

The Empire of Gold by S.A. Chakraborty

I have no excuse other than the pain I am avoiding.

Fable by Adrienne Young

I just haven’t gotten to this. No better excuse than that.

Heartsong by TJ Klune

Mostly avoiding pain here. So much pain.

Have you read any of these? Let me know in the comments!
