2020 Favorites & Wrap Up

Yay 2020 is OVER! This was a really hard year for everyone, but I can’t even blame 2020 for my lack of blogging. That was all me. I had my son in early March and we had a few hospital stays over the next few months. I think it just wore me down.

But I am here to tell you what I did get done in 2020 and what my favorites were!

According to goodreads, I read 124 books this year. I’m going to call that a win for sure. That’s less than my usual, but I have to give myself a break. I was taking care of a tiny human for the first time after all.

My favorite books this year were:

How I did on my Goals:

I really did do a good job of clearing out my backlist and not buying books until I had read some owned books. 56% of my reads were backlist and only 18% were new books.

I did not do a great job of genre-jumping. 50% of my reads were fantasy and 36% were romance. Honestly, I’m not even worried about this because I was mood reading all year and I needed the comfort.

Book buying. I did SO WELL. My goal was that I had to read 5 owned books before I could buy a new book. this included pre-orders. Towards the end of the year I slipped up. I went into a Bookstore for the first time in OVER A YEAR so I bought 3 books within 5 minutes. I don’t apologize. I needed them.

I’m going to do a separate post for my 2021 goals because I really want to focus on somethings and call myself out on others.

How was your year? Let me know in the comments!

  1. First of all, congrats on being a mom! Secondly, I’m in serious awe how you managed to read a 124 books with a tiny human being☺️ Kudos to you for that. I know how hard it can be but we all need our books don’t we?

I wrote my own 2020 wrap up post as well, but basically other than my reading goals I failed all others lol

I’ll be looking forward to your 2021 goals post too. Also, I loved crescent city and the shades of magic trilogy. ☺️
