Summer 2020 Reading List

It’s that time of year again, summer is in full swing so i’m making my list of books to read on my patio in the sun. I’ll be staying home and social distancing this summer, so hopefully, I will get a lot of reading done.

Without further ado, here are a few books I’m looking forward to enjoying this summer!

Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine by Gail Honeyman

This book has been on my reading list for a while and what better way to start out the summer reads than by a witty and adorable tale? Quirky is exactly what I need right now.

The Empire of Gold by S.A. Chakraborty

One of my favorite trilogies is coming to an end. This series is such a beautiful and compelling story, one that will stick with me for a long time. I have no idea how it will end, but I’m certain that I will be happy as well as heartbroken.

An American Marriage by Tayari Jones

False convictions, love triangles and the South? I’m in. I have wanted to read this for a while, so when it was an option for my BOTM club box, I added it to the cart immediately.

Where Dreams Descend by Janella Angeles

It seems like everyone is excited for this book. Magicians in a high stakes competition? Yes, please. Fantasy Romance is perfect for this summer. I might have to start this tomorrow!

Instant Karma by Marissa Meyer

Marissa Meyer is writing a contemporary novel? So I’m not usually a big fan of YA contemporary, but for MM I will definitely make an exception. And how perfect is this cover? I’m a little obsessed with this art.

What’s on your summer reading list? Let me know in the comments!

  1. This is a great list! I’ll add An American Marriage to my TBR in July – It sounds so good. For me, here’s my tentative list: Educated, Rainbow High, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, Harry Potter and the Order of Phoenix, Smashed, Devil in the White City, You Will Know Me, and On Writing.
