Holy cow this week went by quick! I spent a lot of time working on some fun surprises that i’m really excited to share with you.

Life Update

So this week had a small setback that has me on restricted movement. Basically, I can walk slowly places and no travel in the month of December so I’m no longer going home for Christmas. I do get to go to North Carolina this week and spend some time with my husband’s family so we are looking at that as a positive.

I’m also working on a full facelift of the blog. New graphics and theme so the site will be down for a couple of weeks in December to update and make things pretty. I love my brand so that is going to stay.

Christmas Giveaway!

I’m really excited to give things away for Christmas. I released this a few days ago on Twitter, but in case you don’t do twitter i’m leaving the information here.

I feel pretty strong about the inequalities when it comes to ARCs and I adore Kal’s program Flapping Pages. It’s an international ARC sign up and only for International bloggers/readers.

So I chose a couple of my favorites and some of my ARCs and am going to send these books through Flapping Pages. Just go to the site link and fill out the form to apply. It’s an amazing program!

What I’m Reading

I just started The Poppy War by R.F. Kuang and i’m a little nervous. I know this is going to be an intense book and with this week’s news, I may need to switch to something a little more light-hearted first.

What I Finished

Kings of the Wyld by Nicholas Eames. I truly enjoyed this book and I can’t wait to share my review with you!

A Thousand Fires by Shannon Price. This was an ARC that I had severely overdue as it came out on Nov 5th. I truly enjoyed this quick read that felt like a modern-day mix of Romeo and Juliet and the Illiad.

This Week’s Favorite Things

My coworker told me about Jenny’s Deals on facebook and now i’m buying sweaters and napkins and all sorts of nonsense at like an 80% discount. It’s dangerous folks.

Last Week on the Blog

I did Spoiler free reviews of The Naming and Beard With Me They were both fantastic in very different ways.

I showed you my October Book Haul which was more than I bargained for and had a ton of fun with the Would You Rather Book Tag.

What are your goals for this week? Let me know in the comments!

We review fantasy, paranormal/urban, supernatural, young adult, new adult, and romance books. But beware our reviews are snarky and full of spoilers!

  1. So this is embarrassing. Did you see how I said I had a cold? Trying to blog hop while on Nyquil is a mess. I’m sorry.

So responding to your post, please let me know how you like The Poppy War. I’ve been wanting to read it, but I don’t know how dark it actually is.
