Do you ever look through your Goodreads list and wonder “when did I look at this book and what is it?” I feel like I do this all the time, which makes me worry that I blacked out and goodreads binged. Which seems safer than Amazon binging…
So, this is basically like a Down the TBR Rabbit Hole, except I’m trashing ALL of these. Unless someone makes a solid case for them.
Here are the books I have ZERO recollection of adding.
1. Moon Called by Patricia Briggs
2. Dark Prince by Christine Feehan
3. The Summoning by Kelley Armstrong
4. The Mane Event by Shelly Laurenston
5. All the Little Lights by Jamie McGuire
6. Corrupt by Penelope Douglas
7. Alanna: The First Adventure by Tamora Pierce
8. Deathless by Catherynne M. Valente
9. Slumber by Samantha Young
10. If We Were Villains by M.L. Rio
If you have read and loved one of these, let me know, but otherwise I’m cleaning house!

The only book on this list that I’ve read is Dark Prince. It’s the first book in her Carpathian series and I’ve been trash for those books since I was a teenager. I think there are like 30 of them at this point and I read them like they contain actual crack.

Ok, it stays. I need crack books in my life.

This happens to me all the time! I recently added If We Were Villains to my TBR. It is supposed to be pretty amazing!

I also have Slumber and Corrupt on my TBR list but haven’t gotten around to them yet. I really want to read Deathless. I’ve heard it was a good read!

The only book on this list that I’ve read is Corrupt by Penelope Douglas. I will say that it is a dark romance and it want be for everyone but I ended up enjoying it.

The summoning was in my TBR for years! I don’t remember why I added it or even that I did add it there. But I recently deleted it from there because it doesn’t catch my interest.

I love the Mercy Thompson series which starts with Moon Called, if you like urban fantasy, it’s a must read series.

Ha! I’m SO glad it’s not just me! And not just on goodreads – I keep a wishlist of books in my cloud (so if I’m ever in a bookstore and overwhelmed, I can just look for the wishlist), and sometimes I look through it and go “huh, what even WAS that? why would I want it?”.

It’s like the books just grow overnight on goodreads!

The only book on this list I might advocate for is We Were Villains. I own it but haven’t read it yet, but have heard good things from a number of friends.

I have heard the same. It stays.

I have soooo many books on my TBR at any given time that I have no clue why I added them, so I feel you and I love this post, lmao. The only book on this list that I want to advocate for is Moon Called, because I freaking love the Mercyverse books (there are two series – Mercy Thompson and Alpha & Omega – and they can be read separately but I strongly recommend reading them in the order listed here). They’re really quick reads and I get so sucked into them. I’m only a few books in but I’m dying to continue and just need to make the time!

Thank! I will keep it on there. Sometimes I go back and just wonder “when did this happen?”
