Top Ten Tuesday | Auto-Buy Authors

Top Ten Tuesday (12).png

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.

The rules are simple:

  • Each Tuesday, Jana assigns a new topic. Create your own Top Ten list that fits that topic – putting your unique spin on it if you want.
  • Everyone is welcome to join but please link back to The Artsy Reader Girl in your own Top Ten Tuesday post.
  • Add your name to the Linky widget on that day’s post so that everyone can check out other bloggers’ lists.
  • Or if you don’t have a blog, just post your answers as a comment.

We all have those authors who make us hit the pre-order button immediately. Here are some of mine and the book that hooked me!

  1. Sarah J. Maas – Throne of Glass
  2. Claire Legrand – Furyborn
  3. Mary Pearson – The Kiss of Deception
  4. Jay Kristoff – Nevernight
  5. Gillian Flynn – Gone Girl
  6. V.E. Schwab – Vicious
  7. Cassandra Clare – The City of Bones
  8. Laini Taylor – Daughter of Smoke and Bone
  9. S.A. Chakraborty – The City of Brass
  10. Madeline Miller – Circe

  1. OOh nice! Seeing some faves of mine here as well! Though I know a few of them write other genres I don’t read, so I can’t really call them my autobuy authors because of that. Kerri Maniscalco is definitely one that will likely be an autobuy though!

    Here’s my Tuesday Post

    Have a GREAT day!

  2. Yayyyy this is such an awesome list!! I actually had both Victoria Schwab and Sarah J Maas on my list too! I love Victoria’s dark stories and brilliant characters. The shades of Magic trilogy was amazing and I can’t wait to start Vicious!! And the Throne of Glass series had me hooked onto Sarah’s writing – it’s such an addicting series!!!
