Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.
The rules are simple:
- Each Tuesday, Jana assigns a new topic. Create your own Top Ten list that fits that topic – putting your unique spin on it if you want.
- Everyone is welcome to join but please link back to The Artsy Reader Girl in your own Top Ten Tuesday post.
- Add your name to the Linky widget on that day’s post so that everyone can check out other bloggers’ lists.
- Or if you don’t have a blog, just post your answers as a comment.
2019 is going to be the best year for books. Look at what we have had so far!! There are too many amazing books being published and I’m actually sorry that my list is only 10. Also, the dates below are US publishing dates and, as always, tentative to change at the whims of the publishing gods.
1 – Darkdawn – September 3, 2019
Am I ready for this ending? NO. Do I want to hurt myself by reading this stabby and bloody book? Absolutely. Buckle up kids, this is going to be a rocky landing.
2 – Rage – August 27, 2019
This feels like cheating because I just finished Rage, but trust me, you need to pre-order this one.
3 – Vow of Thieves – August 6, 2019
Kazi and Jace give me life! I love this world that Mary has created to a weird extent. I am so thrilled that it was recommended to me and Mary is such a sweet and wonderful human.
4 – World of Throne of Glass – October 1, 2019
You mean that there is a guide to my favorite series coming out? It will have special stories and maps? SOLD. Just take my money.
5 – The Girl the Sea Gave Back – September 3, 2019
I LOVED Sky in the Deep, which surprised me because I had decided not to like it. 5 stars later, I’m dying to read a new story in the same world.
6 – The Starless Sea – November 5, 2019
I think most of us are pumped for this book. It’s been too long since The Night Circus and I’m so happy that we are getting a new novel from Erin Morgenstern.
7 – Ninth House – October 1, 2019
Yes, I’m going to read this, but I’m hesitant. I love that this is set in a very different world from Grisha, but I don’t love stories set in colleges. I have no reasoning for that other than it randomly appeals to me less. Still, you can believe I’m pre-ordering.
8 – The Beautiful – October 8, 2019
It has been too long since we had a good vampire story. I am HERE for a New Orleans vampire book. In fact, I’m going to take my book and drive on over there to read it. Maybe…
9 – Heartsong – September 24, 2019
Yes, I want Brothersong, but Carter’s story is the one I am dying for. His broody and sarcasm have been my favorite from the beginning of this series and I need his happy ending!
10 – Find Me Their Bones – November 5, 2019
Bring Me Their Hearts gave us a serious cliffhanger. I need to know what happens to Zera next!

This list also reminds me how many books I still need to read 😂😂

Oh. But do you have to read Sky In The Deep before reading that book?

No it’s set in the same world so you will have the history, but I believe they are stand-alone a.

Most of these are on my list, too… I think I am most anxious for The Beautiful. I read the excerpt last month and am STILL crying that I don’t have the full arc!
