The Books:
Secrets and Lies: a book set in a sleepy small town
The Wicked Deep is the epitome of sleepy small town. Full of legends and myths and witches!
Salt and Sand: a book with a beach-side community
Shadows in the Rephaim series. It’s is set in a beach town in Australia primarily. If you love angels and fighting demons, this is a great lesser known series.
Here there be dragons: a book with a voyage on the high seas
I apparently do not read enough pirate books because this was hard. Now taking all pirate suggestions.
Tread lightly: a book set down a murky river or a jungle
I only want to go near this jungle if I also get a giant cat to ride on. That’s all.
Frozen wastes: a book with a frost bitten atmosphere
Yes! I get to use Fantasy of Frost! I push this series on everyone because it’s amazing! Seriously, go get it asap.
The boonies: a book with ruff or isolated terrain
I’m going Dance of Thieves on this one because they get stuck in the middle of NOWHERE. And i’m just really excited for Vow of Thieves!
Hinterlands and cowboys: a book with a western-esque setting
Taking this way outside of fantasy-land, but I love Cormac McCarthy’s writing. He is also from New Mexico so yay!
Look lively: a book set across sweeping desert sands
One of my favorite books of all time… The City of Brass. You are missing out if you have not read this yet.
Wild and untamed: a book set the the heart of the woods
Yes, Bring Me Their Hearts has a lot of creepy living in the woods. It’s also a fabulous book!
Wildest dreams: a whimsical book shrouded in magic
You can bet I’m in the middle of finishing Finale… so of course Caraval!
