Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.
The rules are simple:
- Each Tuesday, Jana assigns a new topic. Create your own Top Ten list that fits that topic – putting your unique spin on it if you want.
- Everyone is welcome to join but please link back to The Artsy Reader Girl in your own Top Ten Tuesday post.
- Add your name to the Linky widget on that day’s post so that everyone can check out other bloggers’ lists.
- Or if you don’t have a blog, just post your answers as a comment.
After writing down this list of our first ten reviews, I realized that we have come so far. We are more picky about what we read and what we review, switching out genres and frequency. But still always reading what we love!
The Kingmaker Chronicles by Amanda Bouchet – This series is a diamond in the rough. Yes, it gets weird sometimes, but Griffin is the greatest and Cat is a badass.
A Court of Thorns and Roses Series by Sarah J. Maas – I think this is one of the best loved series out there. Swoon.
City of Fae by Pippa D’Acosta – Not one of our favorites, but you live and learn!
The Cabin by Alice Ward – Need an insta-love romance with possible stalker tendencies? Yeah, we didn’t think so.
Midnight Blue by L.J. Shen – I can’t talk about this one.
Blood Oath by Kelly St. Claire and Raye Wagner – This trilogy is awesomeness and you should read it. Dragons!
The Cruel Prince by Holly Black – No explanation needed.
Wicked Abyss by Kresley Cole – This is a part of the Immortals After Dark series. If you love paranormal romance this is a must-read series!
His End Game by R.B. Hilliard – I love this romance. It’s adorable. Second-chance at it’s best.
Moonshadow by Thea Harrison – Another awesome paranormal romance!

Oh nice! It was scary for me to look back at my reviews. Like omg, did I really just do 2 sentence reviews on 7 books?! Lol.

I know! It’s only been a little over a year… but I feel like I have learned a TON about reviewing.

Awww what a fun kick of nostalgia! I think we started reviewing around roughly the same time, a year and a bit ago – looking back on those early reviews now got me like 🙈😝😂 It’s amazing how quickly we grow and develop our skills in this kind of work, eh?
