Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.
The rules are simple:
- Each Tuesday, Jana assigns a new topic. Create your own Top Ten list that fits that topic – putting your unique spin on it if you want.
- Everyone is welcome to join but please link back to The Artsy Reader Girl in your own Top Ten Tuesday post.
- Add your name to the Linky widget on that day’s post so that everyone can check out other bloggers’ lists.
- Or if you don’t have a blog, just post your answers as a comment.
1. An Ember in the Ashes by Sabaa Tahir
I have wanted to read this forever and actually purchased it when it came out in 2016… So three years later… I’m about 80% so far and LOVING it. But it hurts!
2. Furiously Happy by Jenny Lawson
I am going to make this goal of reading at least one nonfiction per month and I love her sense of humor, especially when dealing with hard-hitting issues like depression.
3. One of Us Is Lying by Karen M. McManus
I see this book everywhere and it looks like it is right up my alley.
4. The Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller
Circe was one of my favorite books from 2018, so I think I need to get on this one asap.
5. A Gathering of Shadows by V.E. Schwab
Again, I loved the first in the series and all of her books so far. It’s a must read in the next month.
6. Gemina by Jay Kristoff and Amie Kaufman
It’s time to read some sequels apparently!
7. Waterfall Effect by K.K. Allen
I love her books, so this one is high on my list for a romance!
8. Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo
I needed a break after finishing the Grisha series. It’s about time for me to find out what all of the SOC hype is about!
9. The Vanishing Stair by Maureen Johnson
I pre-ordered this book and it is just warming my shelves. Truly Devious was awesome so i’m excited to see what happens next!
10. The Immortalists by Chloe Benjamin
I’m so mad at myself because I had this on hold at the library and let my hold run out. Otherwise I would be reading it RIGHT NOW.

Oh no, pity about the library hold! I enjoyed The Immortalists but some people have told me they didn’t. Will be interested to see what you think!

Circe was one of my favorite books of last year too. I loved The Song of Achilles a tiny bit less, but it is a phenomenal read as well and utterly heartbreaking. I enjoyed The Immortalists although I didn’t love everything about it. Happy spring reading!
