Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.
The rules are simple:
- Each Tuesday, Jana assigns a new topic. Create your own Top Ten list that fits that topic – putting your unique spin on it if you want.
- Everyone is welcome to join but please link back to The Artsy Reader Girl in your own Top Ten Tuesday post.
- Add your name to the Linky widget on that day’s post so that everyone can check out other bloggers’ lists.
- Or if you don’t have a blog, just post your answers as a comment.
The Boneless Mercies – I am rectifying this and currently reading this beautiful book, but I really did mean to get to it last year.
Artemis – Another book that I bought forever ago and never got to!
Vengeful – I adored Vicious and wanted to read this immediately, but life got in the way and I have had to prioritize other books. I am really excited to read it and stare longingly at it every day…
Six of Crows – I planned to finish the Grisha trilogy MONTHS ago, but the holidays flubbed my plans. I posted my R&R review yesterday so now it’s on to SOC!
Gemina – I finished Illuminae a while back and really should have at least purchased this book by now. Alas, my Kristoff has also been postponed.
Strange Grace – I’m not even sure that I will get to this one. It sounds fantastic, but so do so many others… What is a reader to do?
Damsel – I meant to read this one because the reviews were amazing, but I am a little concerned about the trigger warnings so I have backburnered it
Sawkill Girls – This is sitting on my kindle staring at me. It sounds so good, but also scary and I don’t do scary well…
An Ember in the Ashes – Starting a brand new series sounds hard and I just can’t bring myself to do it until I finish some others.
Wolfsong – This was recommended to me and I really want to read it, but time keeps moving…
Have you read these? Let us know what you thought in the comments!

I’ve read Sawkill Girls and Strange Grace and both of them are very … different for a fantasy novel. I think I preferred Strange Grace to Sawkill Girls, but it took me a long time to get to both of them. Hopefully, you’ll get through all of these books on your list!

Thanks! I think that is why I have been putting them off. I’m working on it though!

Vengeful is on my list too, and Sawkill Girls has been taunting me from my nightstand for months. I’m really excited to read both (hopefully soon). 😊

The only one of these I’ve read is Six of Crows, which is incredible. I’m adding Boneless Mercies to my tbr list.

Boneless Mercies is so bloody but also beautiful! I’m like 60% through now.

Ember is great. And I love the way the series is heading.
SOC may be your best bet though. Definitely a fantastic read.

I really want to get to it, but I kinda want the tv show hype to slow down before I go there… if that makes any sense lol.

No, that does. I get what you mean.

I started Vengeful last month, but then had some other commitments, so had to put it on hold. Hoping to get back to it next month.

I forgot all about The Boneless Mercies. I need to add it to my backlist TBR pile, lol.

Six of Crows seems to be FOREVER on my TBR.
I had been wanting to read the Illuminae Files for so long and I got them all for Christmas so I blew through them in like a weekend! Gemina was probably my favorite so I hope you like it when you get to it!

Ooh nice! I LOVED Six of Crows! I waited until Crooked Kingdom released because I just knew I’d need to do it that way and I was right! There’s a doozie of a cliffhanger! Make sure you have Crooked Kingdom at the ready once you’re reading Six of Crows! Lol. Gemina was an ultimate fave and I also enjoyed An Ember in the Ashes too!
Hope you get to read all of these this year!
Here’s my Tuesday Post
Have a GREAT day!

Damsel is really good, there’s no explicit content as far as I remember, but it’s a rough and disturbing story.
