I wasn’t going to do a WWW this week, but I realized I actually have very different books to discuss from last week so here we go!
This tag is hosted on Taking on a World of Words It’s easy to do, just answer the three questions below!
The Three Ws are:
What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?
Currently reading
The Boneless Mercies – Why did I put this off for so long??? Yes, I am only 25% through, but this book is so beautiful and dark. I LOVE dark and twisty, so this is right up my alley. I can’t wait to finish.
City of Bones – I have read this series plenty of times, but I haven’t done a reread in years. I’m listening to the audio at work and you will definitely get a stream-of-conscious thought post on this one.
Recently finished
Ruin and Rising – It is very weird that I finished this on the exact day that they announced the Netflix series! I’m glad I read it either way and a review will be up soon! On to SOC!
An Enchantment of Ravens – I tried to audiobook this one and I just didn’t pay attention well. Lucky for me, the library had a copy so I got through it on my lazy Saturday. Review to come!
What am I reading next?
I want to read Artemis next, but I was just send a notification that a few other books are ready at the library, so that may change. I also need to read my gorgeous ARC of An Affair of Poisons!

I like it? It was an adorable little story and a fun quick read. Maybe not my favorite book ever, but it did have a really interesting magic vs craft twist!

That was my favorite aspect of the book too. I also liked the ending and the description of the fae. It was the more subtle things I liked about the book

I love that you’re re-reading City of Bones by listening to it! I’ve been doing that lately with some of my favorites. I love reconnecting to the stories and characters that way.

Thanks! I have a hard time with audiobooks so I have found that if I have already read the book, the audio is much easier for me.

I’ve been planning to to listen to the The Mortal Instruments series so I can move on to the latest series. I go back and forth on it though, because I’m not sure that I really care enough anymore to try and continue with these books.

I will say that The Dark Artifices was by far my favorite series. Julian is not to be missed!

They refer to the end of TMI quite a bit though, so you would need the last few of those for reference. Julian is now my favorite book boyfriend of all time.

That’s what I’ve heard and why I think I need to reread the series (or listen to it at least) before moving on. I may just accept that I’ll probably never get to it, haha!

Oh I also recently read (listened) to an enchantment of ravens, I think for me the audiobook was better than physically reading haha. Still not sure what I think about it though..

I just wrote my post on that one for next week. I did both, but struggled with the audio which prompted me to get the physical book.
