Received an ARC and not reviewed it

Naughty List list one. I have 3 right now, one of which I just CAN’T.

Have less than 60% feedback rating on Netgalley

Nice List. Not sure what it is, but somewhere in the 70s I think.

Rated a book on goodreads and promised a full review was to come on your blog (and never did)

Nice List (on a technicality) – I always post my reviews on the blog first and then copy to goodreads. Actually, I probably owe goodreads a few…oops.

Folded down the page of a book

Nice List – I have been really good about using bookmarks this year. In the past I was always dog-earring.

Accidentally spilled on a book

Naughty List – I am the clumsiest person ever. If I don’t spill on anything in a single day, I consider that a glorious day.

DNF a book this year

Naughty List – I don’t think this is naughty. I don’t have time to read things I don’t like. If I dnf I feel zero guilt about it.

Bought a book purely because it was pretty with no intention of reading it

Naughty List – I’m really not into sci-fi but I have Renegades sitting on my shelf because it’s so adorable. I may read it, but I won’t cry if I don’t get around to it.

Read whilst you were meant to be doing something else (like homework)

Naughty List – I am 100% guilty of reading at work.

Skim read a book

Nice List – I can’t skim a whole book. Sections, sure, but not a whole book.

Completely missed your Goodreads goal

Nice List – I should get bonus points for this. I have exceeded mine by 150%.

Borrowed a book and not returned it to the library

Nice List – I am terrified of book fines. I love the library and go a lot, but I turn them in a day early always.

Broke a book buying ban

Nice List – I don’t give myself bans. They don’t work and I refuse.

Started a review, left it for ages then forgot what the book was about

Naughty List – I don’t know that I forgot, but I definitely started one and made Teagan finish it because I had no words in my head.

Wrote in a book you were reading

Nice List – I don’t write in fiction books.

Finished a book and not added it to your Goodreads

Naughty List – Please see my post on why I don’t add some books lol.

Borrowed a book and not returned it to a friend

Nice List – I haven’t borrowed a physical book. I am the one with all of the books in my friend group.

Dodged someone asking if they can borrow a book

Nice List – I don’t think anyone has asked?

Broke the spine of someone else’s book

Nice List – No way.

Took the jacket off a book to protect it and ended up making it more damaged

Naughty List – I swear someone else set something on top of it. It wasnt me!

Sat on a book accidentally

Naughty List – I do this all the time. I cracked my ipad case this way just yesterday. In my defense, there were blankets piled on top!

My Final Score? Nice – 11 / Naughty – 9

  1. 😂😂I always throw my blankets on top of stuff when I get up and then forget I did that. I’m surprised I haven’t broken anything yet. Also it’s super impressive you always return books a day early. I’m trying to get better at that but except for DVDs our fine prices are kind of a joke. Plus unless you get up to like $10 there’s no penalty.

  2. Squeee! Thanks for the tag 🙂

I’m with you on the no-ban… i never outright say i’m on a ban, per se. I do say sometimes that this month “i’m only gonna buy books that’ve been sitting on my wishlist forever”, but that’s not very restrictive. It has over 500 items 😀

  3. Hehehe, looks like you avoided a lump of coal from Santa, nice 😉👍🏼 I’m with you, I’m TERRIFIED of library fines! And scary librarians! But I have totally, completely, unashamedly avoided loaning books to friends and family. I think I’m making it up for though: for anyone who asked to borrow one of my beloved books, I’ve bought a copy for them for Christmas. I don’t have to loan a book, my local bookstore gets a sale, and they get a copy for keeps – win/win/win!
