Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.
The rules are simple:
- Each Tuesday, Jana assigns a new topic. Create your own Top Ten list that fits that topic – putting your unique spin on it if you want.
- Everyone is welcome to join but please link back to The Artsy Reader Girl in your own Top Ten Tuesday post.
- Add your name to the Linky widget on that day’s post so that everyone can check out other bloggers’ lists.
- Or if you don’t have a blog, just post your answers as a comment.

Great list! I finally read Six of Crows this year and it’s my favourite book of this year and one of my favourite books ever. I adoooored it, so I definitely recommend checking it out! Walk on Earth a Stranger, Illuminae and And I Darken are all books I’d like to try, too. 🙂

I would suggest starting with Illuminae because it’s easy to get into it. There are loads of beautiful graphics.

I’ve read Illuminae, The Winner’s Curse, An Ember in the Ashes, and Six of Crows. Out of all four of the ones that I’ve read, An Ember in the Ashes was beautifully written with lots of characters that I fell in love with. The Winner’s Curse was a strong start to a trilogy, Illuminae was pretty cool with all the graphics, and Six of Crows was nearly as fabulous as the Throne of Glass series.
For the ones that I haven’t read, I would pick Walk on Earth a Stranger, because it’s been sitting in my kindle for AGES and I still haven’t read it.
{As opposed to everyone else, I have absolutely no interest in ‘Save the Date’ but all the others look good and have hence added them to my already overloaded TBR!}

Six of Crows was on my bookshelf for AGES but it was SO good! I would definitely recommend reading it sooner rather than later 🙂

Oooh, if it helps light your fire for Illuminae, I listen to a podcast called The Garret and they’ve done quite a few interviews with Kaufman and Kristoff together – they’re such a fun duo, really entertaining to listen to, and it’s almost got me convinced to pick up their book (even though it’s way outside my usual tastes). ❤️👍🏼

I made the mistake of reading SOC and CK before the trilogy. IMO, she took the duology to next level awesome. Just between you and me, I kinda skimmed Ruin and Rising. <..> Shh…

Hahaha you are not the first I have heard that from. I try to be a purist in my reading even when I know the later books are better lol.

Good idea! I didn’t know until after I started reading SOC that it was part of an established universe. But I was already hooked. No turning back! lol
