Our Review
This includes minor spoilers from Wicked so go read that review if you haven’t read the book. Okay cool.
I needed to inject some happiness into this Autumn of Agony, so obviously I grabbed the nearest Armentrout book. I can always trust her to give me an adorable romance and make me laugh hysterically.
Torn did not disappoint. This sequel was just as funny as the first, with an amazing cast of characters. Tink is my actual hero and I want to take him home in my pocket so badly. His sass and jokes are what I LIVE FOR. His dynamic and banter with Ivy makes me love their relationship more than the actual romance storyline. Tink is king and I would follow him to whatever end.
“And your hair looks like I could cook french fries in it. It’s that greasy.”
Ivy went through some serious struggles in this book, but she balanced it out with so much sarcasm, I was worried that I was projecting my own.
“Look at all the fucks I have to give. I have zero. Zero fucks.”
Ivy’s lack of give a shit is epic. I strive to be like her every day.
She realized that she is the halfling at the end of Wicked and is coping with how or if she should tell Ren, plus running from psycho fae prince who wants to knock her up. I’m with Ivy that the apocalypse baby never needs to be a thing.
“Oh no, me wanting this is never going to happen. Like, the never-ever part is Taylor Swift level of never-ever.”
And sweet Ren. How could we forget how incredibly sexy this man is?! We can’t ever because he is off the charts hot with his vine tattoos and green eyes. Armentrout sure does know how to make us fall in love. He finds her cuddling with an empty can of pringles…because snacks. And he doesn’t care at all. In fact, he finds it charming. I also love to cuddle with pringles so REN I’M WAITING FOR YOU.
If you need something fun in the Autumn of Agony, pick up this series because it’s adorable and hilarious.

I’ve read the first book in the series and I found the plot too predictable so I didn’t enjoy it as much as I hoped. I’m glad you’re enjoying it so far. Hope you guys enjoy rest of the series too!
Happy reading! 🙂

I agree that the plot is predictable. I like to read these when I have just finished something heavier. Plus TINK!
